How You Can Help
Amid this pandemic, and with our communities closed to visitors, we know that a lot of people want to help. Here are just a few of the ways you can help brighten a resident’s day or support our team members through this challenging time:
Send a letter to a resident
Everyone loves receiving a letter! You’re welcome to write to a resident who is a family member or friend. But if you want to help brighten someone’s day, even if it’s someone you don’t know, you can find the community closest to you using our Community Locator and send a letter addressed to the Director of Volunteers.Close
Help us with donated masks
If you’re talented with a sewing machine or know someone who is, we welcome donated cloth masks for staff and residents to wear. Please wash them in hot water with bleach and dry them on high before sending them. You may send them to any of our communities. Find the community closest to you using our Community Locator and send them via U.S. Mail, UPS or FedEx, addressed to the Director of Volunteers. We regret that we cannot accept hand-delivered donations.Close
Make a gift to support our team members
Our team members are amazingly dedicated to our Mission and to serving the residents who live at our communities. The Westminster Retirement Communities Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has a special fund to support team members who are affected by the coronavirus epidemic. Through the Crisis In Care campaign, our Mercy Fund has already raised more than $21,000 to help provide financial support to our team members. Learn how you can make a gift online today!Close
We appreciate your support for our residents and team members. To learn more about other ways you can support the residents and team members, contact the Executive Director or Health Services Administrator at your community.
