Residents Enjoy A Cultural Enrichment Program, Featuring Local Organization, "The Four Counts"

April 1, 2021

Residents Enjoy A Cultural Enrichment Program Featuring Local Organization “The Four Counts”On Tuesday, March 30, more than 100 Westminster Winter Park residents enjoyed a spectacular Cultural Enrichment Program, featuring performances by The Four Counts, a group of students from the AdventHealth School of the Arts at the Dr. Phillips Center, supported by the Westminster Communities Foundation.

The Four Counts is made up of some of the most talented high school students from central Florida who are studying the performing arts. As a part of the group, students enjoy access to professional training in dance, musical theater and acting. During the performance, the audience was delighted with vocal and dance numbers from various musicals like A Star Is Born, Phantom of the Opera, and more.

Westminster Winter Park resident Liz King shared how enriching the outdoor show was on such a beautiful night. “I just love it and I enjoy every minute of it,” King said.

The performance was originally scheduled for a year ago, but was cancelled when the community closed its doors at the beginning of the pandemic. With many residents and team members vaccinated, a new date was set to safely host the Cultural Enrichment Program for residents to enjoy.

The Cultural Endowment Fund enables Westminster communities to provide on-campus cultural arts programming for all residents and supports local organizations like The Four Counts. A donation of $2,100 was made to the school, which can provide three scholarships for a year for the groups talented and spirited members. Noah Baez, a member of The Four Counts, shared a passion for performing. “What matters isn’t where you come from,” Baez said. “What matters is your drive to be better, to continue to be the best you can be.”

Westminster Winter Park is thrilled to bring special entertainment programs like the performance by The Four Counts to our community, and support our Mission of enriching residents’ lives. Westminster Communities of Florida Opens First On-Site Primary Care Clinic in Orlando Life Plan Community through Joint-Venture Partnership with AllyAlign Health

March 17, 2021

Clinic offers safe, convenient primary care for all community residents and team members

ORLANDO, Florida–Westminster Communities of Florida (Orlando, FL), a faith-based not-for-profit organization focused on enhancing the lifestyles and independence of older adults, and AllyAlign Health (Richmond, VA), a care management company focused on improving care access and quality of life for residents in senior living communities, announce opening of an innovative new primary care practice, Align Senior Clinic at Westminster Towers, in downtown Orlando. The Align Senior Clinic is a joint venture dedicated to providing on-campus primary and preventive care services for residents and team members of Westminster Towers. Align Senior Clinic is the practice’s first site in Orlando and opened its doors on March 1, 2021.

Designed with input from the Westminster Communities of Florida leadership team, the clinic offers a spectrum of services to address the varying needs and multiple levels of living of residents. “The convenience that will come from this clinic and providing on-site care and coordination within our community will bring peace of mind for residents and their family members,” said David Randazzo, Executive Director of Westminster Towers. With options for visits to be conducted in-home, in the clinic or via telehealth, the Align Senior Clinic can provide everything from as-needed sick day visits, labs, and vaccinations to primary care visits and care coordination.

Align Senior Clinic, located at Westminster Towers at 70 West Lucerne Circle in Orlando, Florida, will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins will be welcome for all residents and team members of Westminster Towers.

“Close coordination with the Align Senior Clinic practitioners, our healthcare team, attending physicians, and our Resident Experience teams allows residents to benefit from an integrated approach. The Align Senior Clinic is an important example of how we are responding to the changing needs and expectations of residents and furthering the Mission of Westminster Communities of Florida,” said Terry Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of Westminster Communities of Florida.

As result of the launch of the clinic, Westminster Towers residents will now also have the option to add a Nurse Practitioner and Medical Concierge to their existing care team by enrolling in either the Resident Concierge Program or the Align Senior Care health insurance plan. The Resident Concierge Program, designed for those who need extra care support, is a care coordination program offered through the clinic for a monthly fee. Align Senior Care is a provider-owned Medicare Advantage plan tailored to the unique needs of long-term care residents at Westminster Towers. “We like knowing that our residents who need a little extra support are able to get immediate access to health benefits and care when they need it most,” said Randazzo.

Align Senior Clinic at Westminster Towers is the first site of several planned for the Joint-Venture Partnership between Westminster Communities of Florida and AllyAlign Health, and other Life Plan Communities within Westminster Communities of Florida are planned for potential growth in 2021. AllyAlign Health operates similar models in other states, partnering with leading senior housing organizations to bring onsite care for all residents and offering concierge practice and specialized Medicare Advantage Plans for residents with more complex care needs.
